The new year is here and it's time to return to Halls for those of you who left over the winter break.
The thought of returning to uni can be a little daunting for some. You might have exam worries, feel a little homesick or wonder how your day to day will look like. It's totally normal to have these worries and lots of students will be experiencing something very similar.
Staying open-minded, establishing healthy habits and a good daily routine will be key to keeping you happy and healthy this January.
โฐ Establish your routine
If you've been enjoying long sleep ins over Christmas, now's your time to slow adjust back to a good sleeping pattern so that you're ready to seize the day. Wake up at a decent time and make your to do list for the day so you've some structure to get through that essay or chunk of revision.
Whether it be revision, a library session, food shop, laundry or catching up with a friend, planning a list of goals for the day will help you work out a realistic routine that works for you.
Tip: Planning your day out, especially around exam season, can make the day feel a little less overwhelming. Pin your to-do list to your bedroom door or board so you don't forget anything
๐ Fuel your brain
While it's cold outside and the evenings draw in early, it's even more important to find ways to get energy.
๐ด Plan your meals
Preparing a shopping list for your weekly shop will help you plan meals and add structure to your day. Meal planning will avoid multiple trips to the shops throughout the week saving you both on costs and precious time.
Food shopping at the start of the week can set the tone right for an organised and productive week ahead!
๐๏ธMake the most of free gym access
Did you know you can access the University's gym for free this exam season? Whether you need to decompress, destress or release some energy after the library, you can use the gym for free between 7th - 25th January.
