Studying in your room can be super convenient, right? You've got your desk right there and you don't need to leave the comfort of your own flat! However, it's always good idea to break out into new spaces and have a change of scenery, especially during exam season.
All spaces in Halls are available for you to write your next essay, brainstorm your assignment or do some group revision but be sure to always leave your workspace clean and tidy for the next person.
If you're not familiar with your Hall's study space, here's a reminder of where you can next hit the books. If you're unsure on where to go, just ask the reception team or your Residential Adviser.
Crown Place
From Monday 12th January - Friday 23rd January, meeting room one at the back of Crown Place reception is a quiet study space for residents. Drop in at any time as the space is available 24/7.
*Crown's study space in meeting room one will not be available on Tuesday 20th January, however the social area in Crown Place reception will be available as normal.
Greenbank Student Village
Social study space @ Greenbank Reception - You can find a more relaxed, social setting for studying across Greenbank reception
Quiet study space @ Greenbank Library - If you're looking for a quieter study space don't forget that Greenbank has its own library with PC's. Head towards the car park at Derby and look for the archway between Derby Old Court and Q block for the library entrance (your key card will give you access).
If you've not been before, ask your RA or the reception team for directions!
Vine Court
Vine Court has a smaller study space up the stairs above reception. You'll find tables and desks here where you can plug in your laptop and work away.
For a more relaxed social setting, you can always use Vine Court Mezzanine (available via A block). Vine Court's social spaces are open to Melville Grove & Tudor Close students too.
Philharmonic Court & Dover Court
Philharmonic has a study space directly opposite the reception desk.
Dover Court also has a social/study space with desks on the ground floor near to reception.
Tell us how we can improve your Hall's study space...
