Studying in your room can be super convenient, right? You've got your desk right there and you don't need to leave the comfort of your own home! However, it's a good idea to break out into new spaces and have a change of scenery, especially during exam season!
All spaces in Halls are available for you to write your next essay, brainstorm your assignment or do some group revision but be sure to always leave your workspace in a clean/tidy way for the next person.
If your not familiar with your Hall's study space, here's a reminder of where you can next hit the books:
Crown Place
From Monday 6th January - Friday 24th January, meeting room one at the back of Crown Place reception is bookable for a quiet study space for up to 5 students at a time. The room will be available weekdays between 10am-8pm*. You can book a two hour slot at Crown Place reception - just ask the team!
Please note spaces are bookable on a first come, first served basis so be sure to get your slot booked in advance. Food/drink is not permitted in meeting room one.
*Crown's study space will not be available on Tuesday 14th and Tuesday 21st January
Greenbank Student Village
Living at Greenbank? You can find a more relaxed, social setting for studying in Greenbank reception but if you're looking for a quieter study space don't forget that Greenbank has its own library. If you've not been before, ask your RA or at reception for directions!
Vine Court
Vine Court has a smaller study space up the stairs above reception. You'll find tables and desks here where you can plug in your laptop and work away. For a more relaxed social setting, you can always use Vine Court Mezzanine (available via A block). Vine Court's social spaces are open to Melville Grove & Tudor Close students too.
Philharmonic Court & Dover Court
Philharmonic has two spaces - one is a social space for hanging out with your flatmates, as well as a study space directly opposite the reception desk. Dover Court also has a social/study space with desks on the ground floor near to reception.
Thanks to your feedback in a previous accommodation survey, we have opened up a 'study space' in Crown Place this exam season. If you have any suggestions on we can improve study spaces during the revision period, do let us know in the next survey coming up in May!
