Your guide to moving into Halls

It’s nearly time to pack up your belongings and make your way to Liverpool

There’s lots to think about and consider when moving away to university. Whether it’s what to pack, how to get there, your travel time and generally getting your head around the big move!

Arriving

We ask that you bring a maximum of two friends/family to help you move in. There are drop off stations at the Halls where you can park up for 30 minutes while you unload. After that, you'll need to move your car to one of our nearby long stay car parks.

Collect your key cards

Our Hall reception teams are open 24/7 so if you're arriving from a late night flight, you don't need to worry.

If you're living at Tudor or Melville this year, don't forget that your key card collection will be from Vine Court.

Once you’ve collected your key card, a member of the team will help you find your room so that you can start unpacking! There will be trolleys available on the day but we do ask that you return them in good time for the next person.

Food & Drinks

After a day of travelling and unpacking your bags, don't worry there'll be food and drinks nearby. In each Hall reception you'll find hot drinks such as tea and coffee.

On Saturday 14 September you'll find:

·       Camels Hump (Lebanese food) – Crown Place, 12-4pm

·       Doogles Donuts – Crown Place, 12-4pm

·    Tea & Chat (hot drinks & cakes) - Vine Mezz, 1-3pm

·       Kwok Wing Foods – Greenbank courtyard, 12-4pm

·       RHOK Crepes (savoury & sweet) – Greenbank courtyard, 12-4pm

Halls Life events!

There’ll be plenty of events and activities happening across arrivals weekend and Welcome Week to help you get to know your new neighbours and settle into your new home. Check out the Arrivals Mixers, Welcome Socials, Pub Quiz, Paint & Sip, Cosy Night In and more on our events page!

Don't forget to complete your Hall's Welcome Induction

Say hi to your Residential Advisers

If you’re feeling a bit lost or unsure what to do next, don’t be afraid to ask one of our Residential Advisers or student helpers! We know it’s a lot to take in when you first arrive so be sure to ask for help when you need it. You’ll see plenty of our friendly team around on arrivals weekend who are more than happy to help!

Deep breath, you’ve got this!

You’ve arrived, unpacked and your adventure has officially begun! It might be nerve wracking to get out there and introduce yourself but remember that everyone is in the same position. Pop by your kitchen to say hello to the rest of your flatmates or why not offer a hand to someone who’s just arrived?

Greenbank Bike Hire

The Peloton Team will be onsite at Greenbank’s Bikiosk on Sunday 15th September 12-4pm. If you’ve brought your bike with you or are interested in bike hire this semester, pop by and say hello to the team!
