Will you be living in a University Approved Private Hall for 2024/25?
Here you can find out about what University of Liverpool Hall events will be on offer to you this year...
Please note that the information below applies to any student who accepts a contract with a University Approved Provider (Student Roost, Kaplan, True Students, Agnes Jones, Unite Students, Urban Sleep)* via the University of Liverpool accommodation team.
Firstly…Hello from the Halls Life team!
We are the student experience team based in the University of Liverpool’s Halls (Crown Place, Greenbank Student Village, Vine Court, Melville Grove, Tudor Close, Philharmonic and Dover Court). The Halls Life team are here to make sure that residents have the best possible experience while living in our Halls and we do this through our year-round events and activities.
We’re also here to keep residents in University Approved Halls up to date with what Halls Life events and activities are on offer to them too.
Get involved in events & activities
While the Halls Life events programme is for residents based in University of Liverpool Halls, there are some events that are open to those living in private Halls too.
These events and activities are here to help you get to know your new city better, meet new people and make new friends. Here’s what you can get involved with this year:
· Halls Give it a Go events - look out for Halls exclusive events, activities and trips that we run in collaboration with the Guild of Students. Expect trips around the city and local area and crafternoons as well as sustainability themed events such as nature walks, herb pot planting, litter picks and more. Head to the Guild’s website to see what’s on this semester.
Most Give it a Go events are free but some, such as trips, will have a fee to cover the cost of the activity. This fee has been discounted exclusively for students living in both University of Liverpool Halls and University Approved Halls.
· Halls Sustainability events - stayed tuned for sustainability events as part of the Give it a Go programme with the Guild. So whether you want to grow your own greens, learn to repair your own clothes, enjoy a nature walk or do your bit on campus with a litter pick - there's something for everyone! Check out the Sustainable Halls programme here.
· Halls Sports Events - we've teamed up with Sport Liverpool to bring a Halls Sports Leagues and tournaments. Our Friday league sessions (8-10pm in Sports Centre on campus) involve Futsal, Dodgeball or Netball. Head to the events page to see what's on next!
· Halls Vacation events – if you’ll be spending your Winter Break or Spring Break in your Halls, you’ll be welcome to join us for our Halls for the Holidays Mixers events where you can relax, unwind and meet other students who will be spending the break in Liverpool. We'll be in touch with the details!
· Community & Housing events – you are also invited to the Halls Community Fair in November. This event is all about helping you take those initial first steps into finding housing for the following year of University. We’ll also host Housemate Mixers in second semester to help you meet other students looking for flatmates/housing. More details of these events coming soon!
Your private provider will be in touch with you with details on your Hall’s own exclusive event programme as well as support available. If you’re unsure about what's on offer for you, we’d recommend that you speak to your provider directly.
Stay connected
The Halls Life team will be in touch with you to keep you up to date with the latest events and opportunities available to you. You can expect to see posters in your block and you’ll likely hear from us by email with any important events coming up.
We hope you have a great stay in your University Approved Accommodation!
