Applied for accommodation? Here's what happens next

A-level results have been released and you might be wondering what next in terms of securing your accommodation at the University of Liverpool?

Well, it's nearly time to get your room offer! The Accommodation Team will be in touch with you by email to confirm what's next but here's a quick summary of what's to come over the next few weeks.

Watch the video below or scroll down to read about what happens next!

Room Offers

Room offers will start to be sent out from Monday 18th August onwards. Room offers will be sent out in order of date of application (the earlier you applied for accommodation, the sooner you will hear from the Accommodation Team).

This means that you will receive an offer of accommodation anytime from this date but please note that it can take up to 2 weeks for all room offers to be sent out.

As long as you've applied for accommodation on My Liverpool before 31st August 2025, you'll receive an offer to live in University of Liverpool Halls or one of our University Approved Providers.

📨 If you receive an offer to live in University of Liverpool Halls

You will receive your room offer via email so be sure to regularly check your junk/spam box. You will have 48 hours to respond to the offer on the My Liverpool portal.

Please note that if you do not respond to the room offer in this time frame or if you reject the offer, you will not be guaranteed another room offer.

📨If you receive an offer to live in University Approved Accommodation

If you receive an offer with a University Approved Provider, please follow the instructions in the email on how to secure your room.

Applying for accommodation as a clearing student?

Good news! You'll be guaranteed accommodation at University Halls or with a University Approved Provider as long as you apply for accommodation before 31st August. We'd recommend making your application via the My Liverpool portal as soon as possible. Find out how to apply here.

Room numbers, arrivals and Welcome Week!

If you receive an offer to live in University Halls, you will be sent your room number via email in early September. This is when you’ll find out exactly where you will be living e.g. the block, floor and flat number.

Once you receive your room number in early September, you’ll be invited to book an arrival slot. Your arrival slot is the dedicated time that you will check into your accommodation. There will be plenty of slots to choose from across arrivals weekend (11th-14th September).
