As part of Sustainable Halls, our year-long programme of events and all things sustainability, we're bringing you monthly actions to help shape your experience in Halls to be just that bit more sustainable.

December’s theme is Winter Wrap Up and we want to give you all the tips and tricks to make sure if you’re leaving your accommodation over the winter break its ready for your return and you’re not wasting any energy. Becoming 'more sustainable' is a big phrase and can mean so many things. While you're living with us in Halls, we're here to help guide you on taking those small steps you can take as a flat or an individual!  

Here’s December’s 5 HALLS Actions:

Help Out – There are lots of ways you can help out over the festive period. Check out our Winter Wrap up article for ideas or check out the Guild’s volunteering platform. If you’re not sure where to start when it comes to volunteering, join us for an Introduction to Volunteering session in the James E Brown room in the Guild, 3-4pm on 4th December. Full details here.

Activity – Put your sustainable (and festive) knowledge to the test with our end of year Sustainable Halls Quiz! Join us in Crown Place on Tues 10th Dec 6-8pm. There’s plenty of prizes to be won and you can come as a team (max. 6 people) or as an individual.

Listen – Get in the festive spirit with the Guild’s very own Christmas playlist

Learn – Want to learn more about the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and what the Guild and University are doing to become more sustainable? Join us in the James E Brown room in the Guild 3-4pm on 11th December for an Introduction to Sustainability. Full details here.
