Sustainable Halls Launch

We kicked off the Sustainable Halls programme in September with our Launch evening, showcasing some of our favourite activities. There were vegan cupcakes, a recycling crash course and sewing activities.

Sew-cials

We’ve continued to run our monthly sew-cials for you to have a go at different sewing activities and boost your repair skills, whether this was through cross stitching or adding to our mini frog squad.

Exploring nature

You’ve joined us on trips to Hilbre Island, Hoylake and Ness Gardens on the Wirral as well as Formby Woods in Liverpool. The weather may have been chilly, but we still managed to see lots of different birds, plants and fungi.

Our very own quizmaster Ollie hosted a quiz at Bertie and Bella’s all about sustainability, with lots of sustainable goodies on offer as prizes. Well done to all those who took part!

Plant pot painting

A Sustainable Halls article wouldn’t be complete without talking about Plant Pot Painting! Over 27 plant pots were painted, and even more herbs planted. Attendees planted chives, coriander, mint, dill, and even more, and we hope you’ve been able to use them in your own cooking at home.

Now, time for the big reveal...🏆
