As part of the Sustainable Halls programme, student representatives and staff from the Guild's Sustainability Team will be visiting shared kitchens in all University of Liverpool Halls to see how well you and your flatmates recycle.
Auditors will take a quick look at your flat's bins to see how well you separate your waste and recycling.
You'll be left a feedback card with tips on how to recycle better, as well as ethical chocolates for flats who score well. Use your feedback to improve your score for the second audit in February 2026.
Recycling Audits will take place across Halls on Tuesday 11th November between 9am-5pm 🌍
Audits will take just a few minutes and you don't need to be home. Studio kitchens will not be visited, only shared kitchens. If you have any questions, please email lgsustainability@liverpool.ac.uk.
Your flat's score will contribute towards your hall's ranking on the overall leader board for the year long Sustainable Halls competition. So not only does recycling well help reduce your flat's carbon footprint, but also will help you get closer to that end of year prize!

Please note that studios will not be audited. Only bins in shared kitchens in Crown Place, Greenbank, Vine Court, Melville Grove, Tudor Close, Philharmonic Court, Dover Court.
