Want to take a leading role in sports in your Hall?

We’ve teamed up with Sport Liverpool to bring you a year of Halls exclusive sport events and tournaments and we need your help!

We're looking for students to take a leading role in sport led activity in their own Hall (Greenbank, Crown, Vine, Melville, Tudor, Philharmonic, Dover).

Hall Sport Activator (voluntary) 

This voluntary opportunity involves taking a leading role in recruiting students for Hall Sport tournaments, representing your Hall and being a voice for sport led activity in your community.

During this role you'd be asked to attend Sport Activator training and meetings to share your ideas on enhancing sport opportunities in your Hall. You will recruit students to play Hall sport activity, promote what's coming and support the Hall sport events.

You'll also be required to give feedback on the Hall sport offering to help us make it the best programme it can be.

In return for the role you'll be given:

  • Free Sport Liverpool kit
  • Access to Sports Facilities for sessions free of charge
  • Support for referee/ coaching/activator courses suitable to the role

Hall Sport Coordinator (paid)

This paid role requires 5 hours work per week. As Hall Sport Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the Friday night Halls League sessions every week 8-10pm (not weekly but active support required). These sessions rotate each week between Netball, Futsal and Dodgeball.  You may also be required to work additional tournaments and events that can take place of a weekend.

You'd be asked to attend Sport Activator training (3 hours) and meetings to share your ideas on enhancing sport opportunities in your Hall. You’ll also be required to attend training at the start of the year. You'll also be required to give feedback on the Hall sport offering to help us make it the best programme it can be.

In return for the role you'll be given:

  • £500 per year (expenses)
  • Additional payment for extra work (weekend tournaments)
  • Free Sport Liverpool kit
  • Access to Sports Facilities for sessions free of charge
  • Support for referee/ coaching/activator courses suitable to the role
