Congratulations to this year's Sustainable Halls winners...Tudor Close! 🎉🎉
Tudor Close is the official winner of the inter-hall Sustainable Halls competition for 2024/25!
As you already know, we teamed up with the Guild of Students to bring a year-long programme of sustainable activities and initiatives for residents in UoL Halls. We measured residents' engagement across all Sustainable Halls activities such as sew-cials, cooking workshops, nature walks, bike rides, herb planting and everything in between.
With this being the first official year of the new Sustainable Halls programme, we're excited to announce the winner and celebrate everyone's achievements towards making Halls a more sustainable place to live!
As well as your flat's recycling audit score, your participation in Sustainable Halls activities has contributed to your Hall's overall score. So, let's find out who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd:
🏆 First Place
Tudor Close
🏆 Second Place
Dover Court
🏆 Third Place
Melville Grove
Now, the exciting bit...the prize! 🍨
Tudor Close residents are invited for an afternoon in the sunshine with a frozen yogurt bar exclusively for Tudor residents. Pick up a frozen yogurt with all the toppings and head to Tudor's courtyard to celebrate your win with other residents.
Head to Tudor's courtyard on Friday 23rd May at 2pm-5pm - click here for all event details.
What next? 💚
The Sustainability journey doesn't end there. We hope you're feeling inspired to take away your new skills and sustainability habits to wherever you live next. Whether you'll be in Halls or in a shared house next year, you can read May's article for tips on preparing for the move and sustainable living here.
If you'll be a student next year, be sure to follow what the Guild are up to and get stuck into the Give it a Go activities all year round.
Moving out of Halls? Be sure to do your bit to Leave Liverpool Tidy and donate your unwanted items in your Hall's reception - find out more here.
From everyone in the Sustainable Halls team, we want to thank you for your participation and say a huge well done to Tudor Close residents!
